Swift Power Asset Review

DeveEnergy rapidly mobilized to India to assess multiple power-generation assets for a prospective customer. The scope included 9F.03 gas turbines, 324 generators, and D11 steam turbines. Within days, the team delivered detailed on-site evaluations to determine each unit’s technical and commercial viability.

The Challenge

When a customer requested an urgent evaluation of multiple power-generation assets across India, DeveEnergy was tasked with mobilizing a qualified engineering team at exceptionally short notice. The scope was broad and technically demanding — encompassing f9F.03 gas turbines, 324-frame generators, and D11 steam turbines. The client needed a complete technical and commercial assessment to determine whether the equipment was suitable for procurement and relocation, and the findings were required within a very narrow timeframe to inform a pending investment decision. Documentation for many of the units was limited or incomplete, meaning that on-site inspection, data verification, and condition assessment had to be carried out from first principles. Coordinating international travel, logistics, specialized inspection tools, and local site access under such tight conditions added another layer of complexity. The challenge demanded precise execution, and disciplined communication to deliver credible results under time pressure.

The Results

DeveEnergy responded immediately, assembling a multidisciplinary team and deploying to India within a few days of notice. Once on-site, engineers conducted detailed inspections of each turbine and generator, evaluating mechanical integrity, electrical condition, and operational readiness using standardized procedures and advanced diagnostic tools. Despite the compressed schedule and diverse asset types, the team produced consistent, high-quality findings for all machines. The resulting reports outlined each unit’s condition, refurbishment needs, and logistical feasibility for relocation, giving the client clear insight into which assets were technically and economically viable for acquisition. All deliverables were submitted on time and supported the customer’s procurement strategy with confident, data-driven recommendations. The successful execution of this project reinforced DeveEnergy’s reputation for agility, global reach, and reliability in complex asset evaluations.
